ALCUDIA
Alcudia, with more than 30 kms of coast line, is on the North East of the holiday island of Mallorca. The Port (Puerto) of Alcudia is one of the island’s most popular tourist areas with it’s favourable Mediterranean sub-tropical climate, extremely extensive beach with a variety of tourist attractions, hotels and apartments. The coastal areas are ideal for nautical sports and fishing with the protected marshlands of the Parc Natural de l’Albufera providing ornithologists with over 230 species to observe all year round.
There is a tremendous contrast with the old Town (Pueblo) of Alcudia which is a short distance inland. The town has many historical features including numerous examples of Roman ruins and artifacts. Alcudia is also the site of a street market twice weekly and is surrounded by many areas suitable for further exploration by car, local bus or on foot.
